BAAN
Wellness Eco Retreat in the High Desert of Southern California.
Baan is a wellness eco retreat where guests can convene with nature, meditate under the stars, and experience community.
It is inspired by the joy of village living in Laos. The word “baan” means “home” in Lao.
Baan is a modern village made of sustainable constructed 3D-printed pods. Each 570sq ft. pod is inspired by Joshua Tree's desert landscape and daily rituals in Lao villages.
As a part of our commitment to fostering community, each pod is situated apart to facilitate personal reflection, and arranged in a sphere around shared communal spaces.
Communal areas consist of yoga/meditation space, dipping pool, community herb garden and a multi-purpose space for hosting events and art shows.
Each pod has every amenity needed for comfortable modern living, including a full kitchen and bath, king size bed and a creative work area. Indoor and outdoor living merge to stimulate the senses and connect us to nature. Space planning is intentionally open to induce a state of “flow.”
In constructing the eco village, Baan is partnering with companies that align with our core values of sustainability, diversity, mindfulness, and community. As a part of our broader mission, Baan is also working with organizations to spotlight Lao Villagers still suffering from undetonated ordinance dropped on the country during the Secret War. Laos is the the most bombed country in history.
Baan welcomes ALL to experience mindfulness thru the Lao lens. Let's use our strength as a community - and make Baan a place to celebrate and connect.
